Request for Qualified Electors to Fill Trustee Vacancy
Mayor Donald T. Lopez is soliciting letters of interest and resumes from qualified electors to fill a vacancy on the Village of Los Ranchos Board of Trustees. The vacancy was created by the appointment of (former) Trustee Lopez to fill the unexpired term of Mayor Abraham, Mayor Abraham passed away on May 5, 2018.
The term of the Trustee appointment will expire in March 2020. The Mayor may appoint, with consent of the Board of Trustees any qualified elector to fill the vacant position on the Board of Trustees. A "qualified elector" means any resident of this state who is qualified to vote under the provisions of the constitution of New Mexico and the constitution of the United States in accordance with 1-1-4 NMSA 1978; and provide a certified copy of his/her current voter registration that validates the qualified elector is registered to vote in the Village of Los Ranchos.
Interested qualified electors are requested to submit their letters of interest, resumes, and certified voter registration to the Village Clerk by email email@example.com or to 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, Los Ranchos, NM 87107 no later than July 31, 2018. A certified copy of voter registration may be obtained from the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office located at One Civic Plaza NW 6th Floor, Albuquerque, NM 87102, Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.
2030 Master Plan Committee
The Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque 2030 Master Plan Committee will meet to discuss the process and schedule on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the Warren J. Gray Hall, 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW. The public is welcome to attend. Public comment is reserved for future public input meetings. Open Burning Ban and Restrictions on Sale and use of Fireworks
On June 13, 2018 the Village of Los Ranchos Board of Trustees approved Resolution 2018-6-2, a resolution proclaiming dangerous fire conditions and severe drought conditions existing within the Village of Los Ranchos, banning open burning and imposing restrictions on the sale and use of fireworks within the Village.
