The Village of Los Ranchos is updating the 2020 Master Plan. Below you will find a variety of information on this process. Please check back often for any updates or additional information as it becomes available.
The last topic-specific public meeting was held in April. Thank you to everyone who attended this meeting and any prior meetings!
If you were unable to attend, summaries of the public input meetings are available below.
If you missed the meetings or have ideas you would like us to hear, we always welcome written comments on subjects pertaining to the plan. See below for our contact information.
Staff are drafting the plan and meeting the Master Plan Committee to review the sections as they are written. Stay tuned for news as this process continues!
What is the Master Plan?
The Village has used a Master Plan since 1992 to describe the Village and identify goals and objectives for the future. A Master Plan shapes development for current and future welfare of the community. Much broader than ordinances, the Master Plan does not bind the Village to specific procedures but is rather a guide and aid for interpretation and decision-making.
Why update the Master Plan?
The period of the 2020 Master Plan is coming to a close and, as is only natural over time, conditions and perceptions of the Village have changed. Updating the plan reflects these changes and helps us all to prepare for years to come.

If you would like email updates and meeting reminders, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on the email list. Please be advised that email lists compiled by the Village are "Public Records" and, per State Statute, are open to public review and Public Records requests.
