Gateway Signage Project: Public meeting
The Village of Los Ranchos is engaging in a design effort to develop a family of gateway signs. The signs are envisioned to be placed at entry points to the Village to create a cohesive arrival experience, delineate Village boundaries, and visually support the Village's unique identity, culture, and character.

Learn about Agrivoltaics, Integrating Solar Energy and Agriculture on the Same Land
Byron Kominek is the owner and manager of Jack's Solar Garden in Boulder County, Colorado and the director of the nonprofit the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center. The nonprofit showcases the coupling of solar energy production with agricultural activities to educate and inspire the broader community. They namely focus on providing on-site tours and events at Jack's Solar Garden, but are branching out to work on guidance documents around agrivoltaics, county-level policy analyses and land use code development, providing consulting services on agrivoltaic site assessments, solar array designs, and community engagement, and outreach to neighboring states including New Mexico. Bryon will provide an overview presentation of their work and follow up with audience Q&A. An optional farm tour will follow.
Food Preservation Workshop w/ NMSU Extension @ the Ag Center
A talk around home food preservation using canning, freezing, and fermentation to help reduce food waste and enhance your pantry for this Winter season. Amber Benson-Lehmer of NMSU will demonstrate 3 recipes and food preservation methods that you can practice in your own kitchen. Join us for great recipes, an engaging discussion, and delicious treats this evening at the Los Ranchos Agri-Nature Center. Weather permitting, the evening will wrap up with tasty bites in the new outdoor kitchen with a cozy fire!

TELLABRATION!™ A World Wide Celebration of Storytelling
Every year, on or around the third Saturday in November, storytelling guilds and story enthusiasts all around the globe share their talents in concerts held in cities and towns to celebrate the art of storytelling. Locally, TELLABRATION!™ brings together each area’s celebrated storytellers, to delight, captivate, and mesmerize audiences with their tales. It creates a network of storytelling enthusiasts young and older, bonded together in spirit.
This year, Storytellers of New Mexico is delighted to partner with the Larry P. Abrams Agri-Nature Center and Nature Niños to bring listeners of all ages, a family friendly program of stories that will feature themes of nature, farm and food.

It's been said that, "The shortest distance between people is a story." Whether you're already a fan of storytelling or simply looking for a fun and engaging evening, TELLABRATION!™ is a rare opportunity to enjoy the ancient art of storytelling in the company of family, friends and , neighbors. We invite you to experience the magic of live storytelling firsthand.
There will be a short break between two sets, followed by dinner, and a chance to meet and mingle with the storytellers. A food truck will be on site, or feel free to bring a picnic dinner. $5 admission for ages 12+.
