Village Of Los Ranchos De Albuquerque Infrastructure Capital Improvement Projects 2026-2030; Resolution No. 2024-07-01
Acquisition/Improvement/Maintenance of Open Space-To purchase and protect property that will be kept undeveloped as open space at locations throughout the Village.
4th Street-To construct improvements to 4th Street roadway to include lane reduction and right-of-way acquisition for ADA pedestrian and vehicular facilities, lighting and landscaping, signalization and signage, and storm water mitigation The project and may include a roundabout at the El Pueblo intersection.
Village Hall-To design, construct and furnish renovations to meet ADA standards in the Village Hall chambers, restrooms, and rooftop solar for purposes of offsetting utility costs for Village Hall and adding electricity generation for EV Charging Stations, and other electricity uses.
Osuna at 2nd-To plan, design, and construct improvements on Osuna Road from 2nd Street to Chavez Road for traffic calming, potential road widening, and other traffic mitigation measures. A portion of the project is within the jurisdiction of Bernalillo County and will require interagency cooperation.
Chavez Road Multi-Use Trail--A trail that improves the safety of all users on Chavez Road.
Alfredo Garcia Community Barn Upgrades-To plan, design, improve, and equip the Alfredo Garcia Community Barn in Los Ranchos. This well-used barn is used as a community gathering space and needs improvements, such as electricity and lighting. Conduct an archeological survey.
Sound Barriers-To partner with the NMDOT to identify planning, design and funding to construct sound barriers or sound mitigation measures along Paseo del Norte.
Agri-Nature Center-To plan, design and construct renovations and improvements to the existing buildings and immediate grounds at the Agri-Nature Center. Such as, water rights ADA restrooms; indoor classroom upgrades
Levee Mitigation-To partner with levee owners MRGCD and Federal and State oversight agencies to plan, design, and construct levee mitigation measures and keep safety ratings from Alameda to Montano Blvd.
El Pueblo Road-To plan, design, and construct improvements on El Pueblo Rd. from 2nd Street to Rio Grande Blvd. for traffic calming, potential road widening, and other traffic mitigation measures, and to make multimodal connections to the Rail Runner Station. A portion of the project is within the jurisdiction of Bernalillo County and will require interagency cooperation.
Recreation Senior Facilities-Purchase, plan, design, and equip senior recreation facilities in several Village owned locations throughout the Village.
Rio Grande Blvd-To plan, design, and construct Rio Grande Blvd. from Chavez to Montano Rd. for traffic calming, potential road widening, and other traffic mitigation measures.
Old Village Hall Community Center-To design, plan, construct and equip improvements to Old Village Hall to create a small community gathering space.
Ortega Road-To plan, design, and construct improvements on Ortega Rd. from 4th Street to Rio Grande Blvd. for traffic calming, potential road widening, and other traffic mitigation measures.
EV Charging Stations-To plan, design, equip, install EV Charging Stations at Village Hall, 6718 Rio Grande Blvd., NW, and in the 4th Street Parking Lot at 6780 4th Street, NW.
Schulte House-To plan, design, construct, equip the historical Schulte House
Veteran’s Memorial-To design and construct a Veteran's Memorial at Hartnett Park including pad, landscaping, seating, and ADA access.
